What is Smile Design?

How is Smile Design Done?
Smile design is the work done to harmonize the patient’s teeth, mouth and face aesthetically. Smile design can be divided into 3 stages in general terms:
Evaluation
In this process, the dialog between the patient and the dentist is of great importance. Smile design is prepared by taking into account the shape, size, color, position of the lip, the amount of pink gums, facial features and even the character traits of the person.
Approval of the Design
Once the design is ready in the model, a template made of silicone is applied to the mouth. By trying the design in the mouth, the patient decides on their favorite tooth length and form. The design can be modified according to the patient’s request.
